What Your Machine Is Actually Telling You
CD stands for Cool Down (or Cooling/Drying complete). This is a normal status indicator on LG washer-dryer combo models, NOT an error code.
What's happening: After the heated drying phase, the machine runs cool air through the drum to bring clothes down to a safe temperature before you open the door. This prevents:
- Burns from hot clothes.
- Steam blast when door opens.
- Wrinkling from sudden temperature change.
Duration: Cool-down typically takes 5-15 minutes.
This only appears on LG washer-dryer combo units — not standalone washers.
